Urban Graffiti Family Photo sessions... is it right for your family?

Orange County is not known for being very urban..... but the Downtown Arts District in Santa Ana has some of the coolest graffiti art that makes a fun, colorful backdrop for family portraits.... especially for laid back, casual families, families with boys... or just families looking to do something different from some of other "standard" locations.

I recommend week day sessions in this location because weekends can be crowded with festivals and community events. Keep attire casual and neutral so as not to clash with the colors in the murals. Be ready to walk a little bit between locations.... and go with the flow. During one of these sessions some of the artisits were actually adding to and working on one of the walls, so we had to wait, and work with them to get in the spot we wanted. Beware of wet paint!
