Simple, Classic images of your kiddos.... free from distractions and the dreaded "cheese" face.
I started my Simple Studio Portrait sessions as an alternative to the absolutely dreadful school portraits I was getting of my own kids on a yearly basis. Bad lighting. Distracting, inconsistent backdrops. Their hair wasn't combed right because I wasn't there.
And the worst part of all.... the forced smile that looked like they'd rather be at the dentist. All I wanted were classic portraits, free from crazy distractions and with no awkward forced smiles. Even better was being able to take pictures of my boys together.
What school photographers don't do is engage with kids..... hence, the resulting fake smiles. So, I spend about 5 minutes with each kiddo, just talking with them, asking questions and getting to know them. All while snapping away with my camera. And once they've warmed up to me, we take the sibling images.
The results are amazing.... the faces are adorable. I'll take a natural, introspective expression over a forced "cheese" face any day. Parents get the option to choose from images in both black & white, and color. They look amazing hung together on a wall and they make amazing grandparent gifts.
