Orange Circle Senior Session

May 27, 2020 Orange County Family Photography, Senior Session, Class of 2020

Meet Colby, Aliso Niguel High School.... Class of 2020!

Class of 2020 has had it rough to say the least. A global pandemic in the middle of what is supposed to be the most amazing time for graduating seniors. So many events to look forward to... sports, prom, Senior Week and graduation.... now, completely wiped off the schedule because of COVID-19.

But a senior photo session is one thing our 2020 seniors do not have to miss out on! And I can't wait to hang out and get to know them..... like Colby, a high school senior from Aliso Niguel High School.

Colby actually started high school in Oklahoma where he grew up. But on a family trip to Southern California in 2017, he decided this was where he wanted to pursue his dream of playing college baseball. Luckily, his dad was able to apply for a transfer with his company to an office in Huntington Beach. The left-handed pitcher started playing with the Aliso Niguel High School team during his junior year. This past fall, he also played on the school's football team as a wide receiver, although he broke his collar bone during the third game of the season. He worked his way through grueling physical therapy and training sessions to get healthy in time for the Spring baseball season, because his number one love is being on that mound.

Except that season never happened once athletic events were halted due to global pandemic. The high school season ended and his chances to impress colleges. and to learn about them, were gone too. The NCAA put a halt on recruiting through the end of May. He wants to make his choice on which school would provide the best baseball opportunity for him and the list of colleges he's been accepted to is impressive... Pepperdine, Loyola Marymount, Cal State Fullerton and Long Beach State... all Southern California college baseball powerhouses. Colby's looking forward to resuming discussions with coaches and teams so he can make his decision.

Wherever he chooses will be lucky to have him because did I mention that on top of being an amazing baseball player, he's also his class VALEDICTORIAN?? Is there anything this kid can't do?

And we even included his oldest (furry) friend in his session.... his childhood dog, Rudy, that been a part of the family since Colby was five years old!

No matter where he ends up, he is going to do great things in this world.
