"Be My Love Bug" Valentine's Day Mini Sessions!

If you've followed me for a while, you know I don't do a lot of "themed" shoots. Really the only themed shoots I do with props are for Christmas. The reason, for me at least, is that I really like the focus to be on the sweet faces I am capturing, the love and the connection. I only started doing Valentine's Day mini sessions a couple years ago, just because I thought it would be fun to mix it up a little bit. It started pretty basic -- you can see them here. Just a few basic props. Then last year, I decided I needed a cute "KISSING BOOTH".

Well..... this year I decided I wanted to go a whole new direction. And so the hunt for the perfect VW Bug started. I happened to find the cutest, most perfect red one right in my neighborhood. And then I reached out to Morgen from fleur.ish, who is the MOST AMAZINGLY TALENTED floral designer. Luckily she said yes to partnering with me on the idea to cover the VW Bug in beautiful Valentine's Day florals. And my goodness, did she knock it out of the park...... holy moly.

This wasn't something we could shoot in advance for marketing purposes. These clients booked based on me describing my idea and a concept illustration. One of them said to me at the shoot, "I knew if you were doing it, it would be done right and it would be awesome -- and I was so right!" Whoa. That just meant the world to me to have their trust.

I love seeing my vision come to life with the cutest kiddos! Seriously the best job ever.
